Who / What Am I? 20/06

Good morning,

I am extra earlier with my post today… what was that? “For a change”, I hear you mumble.

I hope you all had a great week and are getting ready for even better weekend, which is about to start very shortly.

I know I am looking forward to it.

Last weeks’ picture received some interesting answers. I guess we could call it a skin… of some kind… The picture was actually a close up of a bat… take a look…

I’m sorry that the “cut out” picture looks a bit different but I had to turn it around in order to pick a piece big enough to give you a fair chance of guessing my mystery shot.

Did you know that there are over 1000 different bat species but only 3 of them feed solely on blood? I don’t think I would like to have bats in my neighbourhood, especially that they can live up to 20 years*!

I actually read a blog post about bats this week and I find out something new – there is a bat helpline! Did you know that? If you have bat problems you can call them and I guess they will come to the rescue. It is comforting to know that there is someone out there ready to help me and the bats if needed.

Now, it is time to introduce my new mystery shot.

  1. I am guessing a mat? Looks like a rug of some sort. This is a fun idea!! Might have to try it out on my blog:)

  2. Did you know that without bats we would be in serious, serious trouble? They are actually vital for the ecology, and I mean VITAL!

Oh, that picture is just a very successful head-hunter’s collection of shrunken heads. Or some kind of bark, not-of-a-dog?

  3. That bat looks freaky! But now to rack my brain trying to figure out this week’s picture.
    PS- I love these!

I love all comments :-)
