There is no better time for a barbeque than now… long hot days, warm evenings and green nature all around… the perfect setting for some perfect outdoor dining.
I adore barbeque food… meat, veggies and even fruit… you name it and I will eat it; so when I was asked to be a part of BBQ Bingo Challenge I simply couldn’t say no.
I was asked to prepare a barbecue recipe which would be posted on their special challenge website. As it so happened I posted my Herbs Infused Grilled Trout only days before and I was allowed to make it my challenge entry.
Lucky me 🙂
Well, lucky and unlucky… on the plus side my recipe is the only fish dish but on the other hand the competition is fearless…
Other bloggers have submitted some amazing recipes.
We have two different burgers – a beef one for all the meat lovers out there – Big Brunch BBQ Burger – and a veggie version – Curried Veggie Bean Burger.
There is a very interesting recipe for BBQ Tamarind Belly Pork Strips. I know that belly pork strips are not to everyone’s liking but trust me, once you pop them into a sizzling BBQ all that lovely fat is going to simple melt away 🙂
But back to the competing recipes…
In my humble opinion there would be no BBQ without chicken – we have two recipes for it – Lemon and Garlic Chicken and Chicken in Curry Marinade.
And if you aren’t into burgers, chicken or fish, how about cheese?
Barbeque Halloumi & Vegetables Kebabs sound perfect to me and if you are more in a picking mood, how about BBQ Veggie, Cheese & Salami Platter?
And to finish off our perfect outdoor cooking and dining experience, there is even a dessert! Yes, you are reading it right – a lovely sweet treat for afters – Summer Sunset Dessert with Lavender Infused Golden Rum.
Sounds like a great selection of recipes doesn’t it?
Why not visit the BBQ Bingo Challenge page and check out all these great recipes?… and I suppose as you are going there anyway, please vote for My Herbs Infused Grilled Trout as I really fancy myself being crowned winner of this year BBQ Challenge 😉
What’s yours favourite barbeque food?
Would you like to try any of the dishes mentioned above?
*I was compensated for writing this post.
I love burgers and steak. Well … marinated chicken too. Oh, I love them all!
I think it’s awesome that yours is the only fish dish. You can think outside the box and you’ll totally score points from people who like to eat leaner proteins!
This sounds like an interesting challenge indeed. I love the sound of your Herb Infused Grilled Trout because we are big trout lovers here. I will have to check these recipes out for sure. Thanks for sharing.
I have voted! Really hope you win. It’s an amazing dish 🙂

So I think that in Latin America we make bbqs in a different style… we don’t use sauce ever, but we do spice the food. BBQ chicken is AMAZING. Steak as well of course, and for dessert BBQ plantain!
I’ll have to go look at their recipes for new BBQ dishes
Gosh yu have made me so hungry. I love BBQ
Sounds delicious – you have my vote. We’re missing the long hot days here! 🙁
Yum! You have my vote!
you have my vote
I love the grill
Thank you so much!
Are you guys coming over this year?
I’ll call you in the evening 🙂
I love to barbecue! My favorite is grilled barbecued chicken and salmon. I am sure I would enjoy grilled trout as well even though it would be my first time trying it.
You should give trout a try… it is a beautiful tasting fish
A good barbecue is my weakness. Although I’ve never tried trout before, it seems delish.
My favorite BBQs are pork belly, grilled fish and kabobs. Oh, I also love sati babi, I think its Indonesian or Thai food because of the yummy peanut sauce.
I’ve never heard about sati babi before… off to Google it so I know what I am missing
I love bbq and a grilled trout sounds great :o)
Every time we have a BBQ, Bunk plays the role of the best guard dog ever… I guess he just loves the smell of it
Yummy, the BBQ sounds delicious. I love a good rack of ribs or chicken.
I also enjoy playing bingo on my phone too. It had a BBQ round, where you made different varieties of kabobs when it uncovered items under the numbers. Fun times.
Oh yes, rack of ribs in some sticky souce… yummm!
What a fun and tasty experience. We have BBQ or parrilladas very often at home even during winter time.
We actually barbeque all year round too but winter experience isn’t as pleasant and fun especially when it rains
I love dry BBQ and i love using herbs on recipe! Trout is one of my favorite fish too
We’re definitely barbeque fans, especially during the summer. I’m looking forward to learning some recipes!
That sounds super yummy! I will be trying this soon!
We love BBQ’s – so many great ideas here! I think my husband would love you recipe =)
All too fancy for me. Bbq’s in our house are traditional. Slab of steak, jacket spuds, belly pork, corn on cob. Oh yes!
