Who / What Am I? 07/03

Good Morning,

It is Friday again, which means it is time for our next round of Who What Am I?

Last week a lot of you were quite surprised by the news about the camel beauty contest… hehe… I felt the same way when I found out this information. I decided to go digging a bit deeper into the fount of all knowledge (Google) in order to find some nice shots of a contestants… I didn’t have a lot of luck but I got a few… have a look…

Such lovely camel ladies 🙂

Now, it is time to focus on last week picture.

The more I look at it, the more I can see camel in it, but no… It was not a camel… I wish I was that tricky…

Last week picture was actually featured on my blog before in one of the weekly picture challenges… it was a shot of a flock of sheep taken in Australia, on Tasman Peninsula to be specific.

You can admire the full shot here…

Yes, I know that sheep are normally a kind of white or white-ish… hmmm… maybe they are just dirty, or maybe they are slightly different breed of sheep… who knows… I have no idea… if you do let us all know so we can get some closure… all I know is that the picture wasn’t tempered with and no extra filters were used so they are that brown in reality.

For this week mystery picture I have chosen something with much more colour.

I hope you like it.

Good Morning Everyone,

I must admit, I am very pleased with my picture choice last week.

It looks like it gave you something to think about and maybe it wasn’t so straightforward like the one from the previous week…

First person to get it right was Lisa from Beauty Is Inside And Out.

The correct answer was indeed a camel 🙂

Did you know that every year thousands of people attend a camel beauty contest during the Al-Dhafra Camel Festival held in the United Arab Emirates? Judges look for specific qualities in prize winning camels such as floppy lips, an elegant hump, nice whiskers, good ears, and a proper amount of space between their toes, sturdy legs, a long neck and a large head. Apparently the smoother the neck the better; the longer the neck the better 😉 Up to 25,000 camels from all over the Arabian Peninsula take part in this contest.

I wish one day I can be a part of it… not as a camel of course… just as a spectator…

For this week picture we will stay with the brown colour theme.

Ready?

Have fun and enjoy yourself a little… or a lot if that is what you fancy.
