A lot of parents complain about their kids being fussy eaters, they may be right, their kids might be fussy but then there might also be a different explanation – a lack of the right type of food…
A few months ago Leo started to show a lot more independence when it came to food. He will no longer blindly eat whatever is in front of him, his taste is now much more refined and he is communicating his wants and needs quite clearly. It took us a while to find a good combo which makes feeding and snacking time pleasurable for all of the family.
A combo of good quality, kids friendly feeding “tools” from Oxo Tot and a great selection of healthy, tasty snacks from Kiddylicious seems to have worked wonders for us. We no longer have to worry if Leo will or will not eat his food.
Oxo Tot offers a wide selection of baby and toddler feeding cups, plates and dishes. Lately our favourite is the flippy snack cup. The Flippy Snack Cup’s soft, flexible opening gives kids easy access to goodies, yet keeps even small snacks off the floor. The twist-on lid stays secure when the Flippy Snack Cup is dropped, and the non-slip handle is shaped for tots. Includes a solid snap-on cover to keep snacks fresh and secure. Sounds perfect, doesn’t it? But it isn’t only about keeping food fresh and off the floor, it also gives the feeling of achievement, it’s like a mini game… if I want a snack, I have to “hunt” for it, inside my cup… Leo enjoys it, which really does make a difference when it comes to the whole eating process. I only wished that Oxo Tot made this cup in a bigger size as well. Our flippy cup is good now but very soon it will simply be too small 🙁
We first were introduced to Kiddylicious almost a year ago when Leo received a giant goodie box filled with their delicious snacks to help him celebrate his first birthday. Since that moment Leo was hooked, and in turn so were we 🙂 Now this year it is even better as the Kiddylicious range has expanded. Currently flavour of the month award goes to Smoothie Melts, no matter which flavour as he loves them all.
Do you have your own perfect combo when it comes to snacking time?
At the moment, my daughter just wants to eat bread or cake… Trying to get her into fruit at the moment, haha.
Good luck! I am sure this will pass soon.
How cute is that snack pot, I do not know much about kids foods and snacking
I know nothing about kids food, but that little cup sure looks handy!
I love the snack pot - perfect for taking out and about as my LO usually tips his everywhere!
I love the look of that cup, great snacks you mentioned
They are both brilliant brands. Im going to be posting about the Oxo tot range on monday 😀 I used the snack pot today and its brilliant isnt it ? 😀 kiddylicious snacks are also really good!
That cup is such a good idea. No spillages!
That cup looks great, we have the bottle and it’s fab! Such cute photos - it looks like snacktime is lots of fun
Lovely photos! The snack cup is a handy way to serve to little ones.
I am like Claire above - I tend to make fruit pops, I have a pop maker that literally takes seconds (it even works for alcohol for me wooooo!). My kids really love these little snack style packets too 🙂
That bowl is a great idea for snacks. I will check this out.
I have manaed to get my little boy eating more fruit which is great!
Is that mini gingerbread men that I spy him eating!? Love them! x
Leo is very gorgeous! I wish we had those Oxo Cups when mine were tiny - We’ve spent far too long picking up food that has been launched across the room!
This cup looks like such a good idea! Even I could use something like this! Haha!
Those Flippy Snack Cup containers look great - I was surprised when I read they were for kids as I was thinking they are perfect for my nuts and bits I take to work.
What a great sounding range for toddlers - it is awesome to hear he has loved them for so long. x
I do not have a toddler so I don’t know the struggle of finding snacks for one, but all I can say is when I do eventually have my very own toddler, I hope they are as cute as your one! He certainly looks like he is enjoying it all too 🙂

ooo thank you 🙂
Lots of lovely ideas! In the summer I love to puree fruits and freeze them into little pots for wee ones. When it’s time to eat them I let them defrost a little, then create a slush for enjoying with a spoon!
