Shedding pets means hairs everywhere; those hairs are one of the biggest nightmares of any pet owner… but what if you could make your life easier? What about a vacuum cleaner which is always ready, small, light and super portable but at the same time offers great performance and actually “sucks” all those undesired hairs up? Would that make a difference?
Well, it can really make the difference, trust me.
Until my experience with the Bosch ProAnimal Athlet vacuuming was a big chore, one which required preparation, time and a lot of effort. Retrieve the vacuum (neatly hidden away), find the empty plug (this always is a problem in our house as it seems that we are using most of the plugs at all times), vacuum, change the plug, vacuum, change the plug, carry the monster upstairs and repeat the process. So many times I had the need for a vacuum but I simply couldn’t be bothered to get it out so instead I would resort to a pan and brush… silly I know, as it really doesn’t work very well with hairs.
Bosch Athlet is different.
It quietly stands in the corner of my pantry waiting to be summoned. The vacuum is fairly small and very light but despite this its freestanding performance is top notch. It doesn’t require leaning against anything and it can be stored almost everywhere. It’s light, at just 3kg it really isn’t a big deal to get it out, lift or carry around. There is no need to hunt for a free plug. Changing it over from floor standing to a handheld machine takes only a few seconds (once you get used to it, that is). I can be vacuuming what needs cleaning within seconds, no matter what or where I vacuum as the suction stays the same no matter the type of surface… no fuss, no hassle.
SensorBagless technology will notify me when there is something impacting the performance of the airflow of the vacuum cleaner or when the filter needs changing. Don’t worry there is no need to buy any spare filters as they are simply washable and when one is being washed you can still use the vacuum cleaner with the alternative filter provided. Easy!
Charge light will let me know when it is time to recharge the battery (which isn’t happening so often as the vacuum can run for up to 75min without recharge)… see… just like I said… no fuss whatsoever.
Sounds good, doesn’t it?
And now for something special.

This post is very useful!
Pet hair on the stair carpet, The best way is to use the type of vacuum cleaner dedicated to your stairs cleaner!
Leaves. We live in the country and literally every day they blow about and get walked inside. Its a nightmare
Picking up threads and fluff.
My biggest vacuuming challenge is hair.
I’ve got 2 active doggies that produce a lot of hair and mud around the house!
Getting the edges where the carpet meets the wall!
Pet hair on the stair carpet, I can’t get the vacuum up there!
6 cats!! So lots of furballs and dust bunnies, it seems never ending!!
My hair and my Persian grey cat’s hair
dog hair
Having to change the vacuum bag too much.
My biggest issue with hoovering is getting round to it
We have a dog and have to vacuum 2-3 times a day. Having this would help as I wouldn’t have to drag out the heavy, corded thing all the time.
8 cats here and a dog - their fur covers ever colour available so it always stands out somewhere! Getting to the centre of the underneath of the super king sized bed is always a challenge and the long haired cat likes to sit just there!
Pet hair and my hair! I have a white cat, a black dog, a brown dog and im blonde so its a nightmare!
Definitely removing all of the pet hair.
hair
With two long haired cats and two girls with very long hair trying to keep my floors clean is a nightmare!
I have a Pug and they are notorious for shedding hair as they have two coats, a short and a long hair. I have to vacuum twice a day in some areas to keep on top of it
Cat hairs in awkward corners
Not hovering up all the lego I find dotted around!!1
my biggest challenge when vacuuming is dealing with all the fur from my long haired cat. She is a fluff making machine, and her fur regularly clogs the vacuum so that I have to take a pair of scissors and cut her fur out of the roller brush. I’ve tried several brands of so-called pet vacuums, and so far have failed to find one that can cope. Maybe I should offer to rent her out as a product tester!
I live in a townhouse so lugging a heavy hoover up all those stairs!
My biggest vacuuming challenge is avoiding all the bits of lego usually on my son’s bedroom floor.
My cat she thinks the hoover is a new toy and tries to catch it whenever we get it out
My partner dragging in all sorts of stuff on his shoes from outdoors - I honestly don’t know how he does it!
Preventing the dog from attacking the vacuum cleaner!
The biggest challenge is having a cleaner that can cope equally well with carpets and hard wood floors
My hair I seem to loose more every year
tiny stones from outside that hoover can’t pick.. .>.<
It’s definately dog hair. It gets in the clothes too and everywhere.
We have a four star bed and breakfast and lots of the male guests have black socks that leave bobbles on my beige carpet that are a devil to remove!
hoovering under the furniture and pet hair!
Definitely pet hair - our cat and house rabbit seem to molt constantly!
I would hoover my clothes too.
has to be the dog hair
All the little bits of paper and cardboard that the dogs squirrel away to their bed to chew on. They adore ripping up bits of paper and the pieces are often too small and fiddly to be pciked up by hand but too large for the vaccuum cleaner
Pet hair can be difficult to vacuum
The stairs!
